1. Introduction

Storebeep ("we," "us," or "our") is a Shopify app focused on efficient, effortless back-in-stock notifications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, Shopify application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using Storebeep, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Subscriber information: Email address (required) and phone number (optional) provided when a shopper subscribes to a back-in-stock alert.
  • Subscription records: Per-product, per-store subscription state. A single subscriber may have multiple subscriptions across products and stores.
  • Merchant/store data: Shop domain, Shopify store configuration details, and preferences set within the Storebeep dashboard.
  • Operational data: Logs related to alert delivery, webhook events, and system performance.
  • Support communications: Messages and information you provide when contacting us.
  • Usage analytics (merchant/admin only): We use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel on merchant-facing admin pages to understand how merchants interact with the Storebeep dashboard. These analytics do not target or track shoppers on merchant storefronts.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain the back-in-stock notification service, including sending restock alerts to subscribers.
  • Enable merchants to manage, export, and analyze their subscriber data.
  • Deliver webhook payloads to merchant-configured endpoints (e.g., Klaviyo, Zapier, n8n).
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Improve and develop the Services based on aggregated usage patterns.
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Infrastructure and hosting partners such as Railway and Cloudflare, and analytics vendors, strictly to operate the Services.
  • Shopify: As required for platform integration and compliance with Shopify's API terms.
  • Merchant access: Merchants can view and export subscriber data (email, phone, subscription history) for their own store through the Storebeep dashboard.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When a merchant uninstalls Storebeep, store-identifiable data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Unsubscribe: Subscribers can unsubscribe from restock alerts at any time using the link in any notification email.
  • Deletion: Merchants may request deletion of subscriber records. Subscribers may also request deletion by contacting us.
  • Access and correction: You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting us.

8. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Storebeep is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
